Welcoming Pirouette with Crystal Spires

I'm one month away from my 30th birthday. When I reflect on my twenties, I can split the decade quite cleanly in two. The first half I largely spent working on bands, a record label, collaborating with friends, etc. The second half I learnt how to do similar work for others, spurred on in equal parts by the pandemic and a perceived need to get my shit together.

Heading into 2026, I had a strong feeling that a new, informal outlet for my stuff (whether it be music, design work, art, photos, writing) would be essential for my continued interest in making things. What I miss most about the record label is having an outlet for immediate and instinctive release.

To that end, Pirouette is the playground. This is where I'll be putting things from now on. Music, books, t-shirt designs, objects, adornments, whatever I damn want.

Crystal Spires is the first of those things: 113 images from my time in Paris and Athens at the turn of the year. Images from the best day of my life so far. Images from the rental car window. Images of the vast Greek city glimmering under stark daylight. Waterways, rubbish, ancient places.

More to come shortly, much of it imperfect.
